Great question! Our standard HauntSaw is designed to be the best "workhorse" Digital Chainsaw Prop the industry has ever seen, and is meant for those who just want a traditional-looking indoor-friendly saw that is incredibly loud, fun to use, and will run for a whole shift on one battery. Main features of the standard HauntSaw are: -4Ah 40V swappable battery for max performance and convenience. Powerful class D amplifier -2 Full range 4" speakers -18" non-illuminated actor/guest safe chainsaw blade made from plasma-cut steel and welded #35 roller chain -Single "Classic Massacre" SoundStyle -Polyphonic soundboard for cleanly mixed seamless sound effects -Easy-to-learn 3 button control scheme plus motion controls for a wide variety of sound effects and combinations The UltraSaw on the other hand, is our fully kitted-out "show pony" saw with all the bells and whistles, and features nobody has ever seen in a chainsaw prop before. This saw was designed to be the most over-engineered, over-the-top chainsaw prop around, and is best used as the centerpiece of a whole "water cooler moment" highlight scene or walkaround character, photo op/social media setpiece, or for press/community events (people go nuts for it at a parade or county fair!) The form factor, battery, power stage and controls are all shared with the Standard HauntSaw, but there are a number of key differences/upgrades: -200W MaxAudio upgrade with Polk Audio speakers is included by default -24" UltraBlade- made of 1/2" Polycarbonate and aircraft aluminum for max durability- This is that "glowing chainsaw blade" you've likely seen. It's packed with addressable LEDs that allow it to show a wide variety of eye popping SawStyle effects- moving blade with rev speed changes, glowing tip from "chain contact", plasma blade effects, the flaming HellSaw effects, etc. Don't want the led effects on all the time? Maybe you'd like to hide in the dark with the saw idling then jump out and turn the blade effects on? We have you covered! Double tap the ignition button at any time to toggle the current SawStyle effects on and off. -3 different SawStyle presets included at launch- Classic Massacre: our traditional chainsaw SawStyle, CyberSaw: a sci-fi bluish white crackling plasma saw, and HellSaw: a chainsaw bathed in hellfire that spins with the screaming tortured souls of the damned! All SawStyles include a fully original SoundStyle bank of mixable sound effects- each with their own corresponding visual audio-reactive UltraBlade effects!

Loud as F#@%, Cool as Hell isn't just a slogan for us! Each HauntSaw is built with a high output Class D amplifier driving two separate 4" full range speakers (one forward facing, one downward for optimum directionality for most haunt applications) For the inaugural 2024 release season, we are including our 200W MaxAudio upgrade in ALL HauntSaws (both standard and UltraSaw models) at no additional cost. This configuration has been tested as pushing out a soul-shattering 115db of clean volume when running our default Classic Massacre SoundStyle. To put this in perspective, that is louder than some actual gas chainsaws! Please consider ear protection when using our saws, especially indoors!

Both the Standard HauntSaw and UltraSaw run off a 40V 4Ah Wen brand battery that top-loads into the saw for optimal retention and pops out easily for recharging/storage. A single fully charged battery should last for an entire haunting shift easily, and we have personally run them for full 8hr+ tradeshow days on a single charge. Extra batteries are readily available online, or directly through us should you need them. IMPORTANT- NEVER leave the battery socketed into your HauntSaw when not in use, or you risk passive over-discharge of the battery and can severely impact the lifespan of the battery or render it unchargeable entirely. ALWAYS store your battery on the charger or on its own.

Our saws are all hand-built on a heavily customized real chainsaw chassis/body for overall structural durability. In addition, there are a number of other features of note: -The bottom of the saw, including downward-facing speaker, is protected by a welded steel grille that also serves as a tough skid plate -The handle of the saw has a keyhole shaped hanger slot so that the saw can be hung out of the way on a screw, bolt, or hook when not in use -The standard HauntSaw blade is made of plasma-cut steel with #35 roller chain welded to it from both sides -The UltraBlade is made from CNC-cut solid 1/2" polycarbonate and aircraft aluminum sheeting, and is incredibly durable. It will not crack as acrylic does. Currently all HauntSaw models are NOT considered certified waterproof/water resistant. We have attempted to keep all internal electronics and power components nominally covered to protect them in the event of an accidental splash or unexpected precipitation. HOWEVER, the HauntSaw is NOT designed to be operated in inclement weather or wet environments. If your HauntSaw gets wet at all, IMMEDIATELY remove battery, wipe off all visible moisture and store in a dry warm environment for at least 24-48 hrs before attempting to use. HauntSaw is not responsible for any damage or malfunction caused by liquid exposure.

HauntSaws and UltraSaws both weigh in at approximately 13lbs. Unfortunately, top tier components for max power, performance, and battery life usually aren't terribly light. That said, it's about the same weight as a fully topped-off full size gas chainsaw. Our saws ARE very well balanced, which makes them easy to maneuver and most people find that they FEEL lighter than they are. However, for smaller users, or simply to reduce fatigue, we recommend the use of a simple 2 point bungee tool/rifle sling, hooked around the topside of the front handle and over the shoulder. That will make it much easier to work an 8 hr marathon haunting shift, or walk that whole parade route!
